As kids we remember travelling through the country in trains, jongas, trucks, cars moving from one station to another eating in the Mess!! Packing our bags and traveling to unknown destinations, making new friends, new schools, new colonies, ahhhh new girlfriends(no boyfriends)(her parents have been really strict ;)) is how we have grown up. So eventually it became a part of our individual characterstics and we started enjoying it, and the first time i set my foot out alone i remember i was in class 9th, i went for an army camp to Mt ABU, apart from enjoying on the wheel my self i enjoyed every bit of it the rock climbing/rappling/parasailing and it lingered me on for another trip where i could drive by myself. So i passed out of school( i dunno how, but i did-and i feel sad abt it now, coz those were truly days you are just so free, and can enjoy everything in life from a 2 rupee samosa while bunking a class to getting ur first bicycle) huh ..well coming back to traveling. So i bought an enfield and a nice leather jacket(i guess somebody gifted me the jacket, i can't remember who though) and took off to Dharamsala/mcleodganj i cant live without music, so we tied a two in one to the bike handle cruised for about 16 hours, since i had started working during college and this was our idea of a weekend escapade, therefore we had to drive back to delhi after being there just for a day, i remember me and my friend were practically standing on the footrests on the way back , things have changed now (thanks to the gas shock absorbers introduced by enfield) Post this We have had numerous weekend getaway trips from unknowm hills in pune to Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala, Lavasa, Amby Valley, Murur Jaljeera, Kashid etc. Most memorable trip:- Our most memrable trip would be Pune to Delhi trip this June, for the sheer length of it,honestly there was very little adventure in the trip, the only thing that kept us going was the accelerator and the only thing kept us stopping again and again was the camera. The length gave us a chance to see various traditions/people/languages/food/roads which people really crave for living in the concrete jungles. The speed, the freedom, the purity in air are things that refresh my mind even now just writing about it and make me wanna pack my bags again and head right out. Ideal Hot spot:- Our ideal hot spot can be anything that gives us a sense of freedom, it can be a hill 5kms away from our home or it can be the Palolem beach in GOA. Latest Trip:- Our latest one was a road trip from Pune to Delhi in June this year. Hours of driving, unlimited chai and sutta breaks, small interaction with the localites for directions, capturing every little thing and seeing the vegetation and the soil change their color.... was an Amazing trip. We have trekked to Hemkund Sahib and valley of flowers up North and love Nanital, Naukuchiatal, Bheemtal, Ranikheth..... the list will go on when it comes to commercial areas... We have also touched some untouched places where people still go through the night in candles. International travel would be travellin by air, trains and taxi to London, Liverpool, Norwich. Now this one was strictly a business trip. I believe there are moments when your life becomes perfect and u secretly ask god to gift you a remote that can control your life, so that you can pause it in those moments or atleast rewind it whenever you want to.We are usually in that zone while travelling.
