Im Abhishek Gupta, born and brought up in the Capital Heart of India, New Delhi. I am working with my father in my family business of paper imports and trading. I got recently married to Devina Gupta in Nov 2008. She is a fashion designer professionally. We both are intermediate level salsa dancers and we both are very regular at salsa parties. We both are still learning the same and just trying to hit perfection. As mentioned we both are perfectionist in life with everything we do , we do it with utmost perfection. Im known in my family and friends for being crazy for cars with good knowledge on the same. Driving for me is the biggest stress buster. Ive been very much into music throughout with my talent includes singing, playing guitar and keyboard. At one time I also became a member of a semi professional rock band in Delhi. Im a big interent freak. Devina is a very cool hearted, patient and very artistic person. She has been doing Tanjore painting with almost every God put behind gold foils by now. Someday she would try to bring her talent in front of the world by putting up an exhibition. We both love to meet new people with diversified backgrounds, know their cultures and lifestyle and try to adapt ourselves with changing needs. As we read the ad in the newspaper about the Mitsubishi great driving challenge, we just couldn’t control our excitement. This was like a dream come true. For us, this challenge is more than a competition and we believe we can take this competition to zenith with our passion, dedication and performance, enthusiasm and never ending energy. For all those lovely people who took so much pain in reading about we two crazy souls, I request you whole heartedly to please Vote for us and bring us ahead to lead this competition.

Our Travel Plan

My plan for the great driving challenge would be from New Delhi to Mysore which covers an approx distance of 3000 kms. This whole journey will be nothing less than a combination of pure, sensuous, highly refreshing, romantic, scintillating experience, a picturesque of beautiful landscapes, the scenic beauty, the coastal lines, waterfalls, wildlife and above all richness of cultures of people. New Delhi- Gurgaon- Behror- Jaipur- Kishangarh- Nasirabad- Bhilwara- Chittaurgarh- Udaipur- Himatnagar- Ahmedabad- Vadodara- Kadodra- Navsari- Vapi- Navghar- Mumbai- Panaji- Hubballi- Davangere- Shivamogga- Tumkur- Bangalore- Mysore 1. Majority of the sections are 4/6laned. 2. New Delhi-Mysore is completely 4/6laned with small high-traffic sections enabling high avg. speeds of 75kmph. 3. Ample fuel stations enroute with food stops too. 4. Good number of famous tourist places. 5. Lot of tourist places.

Our Travelogue

I have traveled abroad with my family to Germany, Amsterdam, Brussels in June 08. This includes drive from Germany to Amsterdam and Germany to Brussels in a self driven BMW 1 series. Nothing could beat roads of Germany. Before that I have traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands, Langkawi in Aug 07 where we majorly exnjoyed the Langkawi beaches and shopping carnival in Kuala lumpur. Not to forget the trilling rides at Genting. Apart from this I have traveled within India to cities like Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur Sanctuary, Mumbai, Pune, Lonavala, Khandala, Ooty, Conoor Coimbature, Nainital, Mussourie, Simla, Jammu and a lot more smaller cities and stations. My wife Devina has traveled abroad to Dubai and has stayed there for over a month. She has explored the country to a large extent. Apart from this she has also traveled a lot within India to places like Simla, Nainital, Mussourie, Manali, Rohtang Pass, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Ooty, Mysore, Bangalore, Jaipur, Mt. Abu and a lot more. We both had gone to Australia on our Honeymoon in Nov – Dec 2008. We covered Gold Coast, Cairns and Sydney. We particularly loved the Australian wildlife and under sea world along with the incomparable scenic beauty of beaches and rain forests and the adventures. Nevertheless the wish to travel further kept building more and more as we moved further in life.

If given a choice between a Fast Car and an Even Faster Woman. Probably, There is only one person in the world who would choose the Car.. And that dude is Abhishek Gupta!!! So No surprises here!!! As soon as i saw the competition, i knew Abhishek would be participating and hopefully win it too. He has always been a crazy car lover.
