Kartik's dream is to drive the 'World Atlas' !!..and.. Nidhi's to capture it all in her camera!! These guys have real itchy feet and cant stop moving around. Having covered a lot of 'India' (from Leh/Ladakh, Corbett, The West Coast, Rajastan & Gujarat and down to Kerala), Kartik has also experience Venice, Italy and Europe and has brought back some stunning pictures. Nidhi has a knack to use her SLR camera at the right place and moment. I wish them all the best ! I am sure their tenacity and perseverance will take them thru'. :)

A friend and a fellow traveller. Ive known Nidhi for the past 4 years, travelling truly is her passion, everything from trekking to staying outdoors, or just plain getting out in the rains, she enjoys it to the hilt, and im not just saying it, i mean what kind of crazy woman jumps into the freezing waters of the Ganga from like 2 storeys high and actually SMILES while saying it. Ganesh couln't have put it better, I have known nidhi for around the same time and she's always full of stories that take base with the amount of traveling she has done in and round the country. Her passion for photography started around 3 years back and she's getting better by the day. She puts her lens to great use and will go lengths to capture things she wishes to compose in them. Another interesting fact about her is that she has a record breaking total of shifting 7 houses in the span of 4 years in Pune, she practically lives out of her suitcases in normal life and I cannot imagine the amount of fun she will have in the GDC when given a chance, I wish her and Kartik all my luck!

I've known Nidhi for a little over a year now, more than enough to have figured out that she's utterly and totally crazy. In the nicest possible way of course! We share two passions - scrabble and photography. The jury is out on who's better at scrabble (though she's been beating me distressingly often recently) but in photography, there's no contest. I have known Kartik for close to two decades now. A travel bug to the core, his indefatigable energy and enthusiasm seem almost a sharp contrast to his pleasing and shy persona. More often than not when we call him our standard line is not 'how are you' but 'where are you currently'? He is a cricket buff who is always ready to rough it out. He was the Group's first driver(by virtue of him owning the first car) and i can vouch for his driving skills(at the least,haha) in the city. A thorough gentleman and amongst the early birds to adopt the 'keep mumbai clean' campaign. His adventurism and fight-till-the-end attitude makes him a perfect candidate for this drive. Nidhi with her bubbly personality is the perfect foil for the calm Kartik and it makes them, what i believe, an extremely potent combination for such an adventure. The Great "Anything " Challenge!?! is usually some random competition which has the interests of a coupla guys who know business, and make a little investment. It's not everyday you'd find two people who(with their own interests) seem SO apt for participating in the "anything" competition. Kartik and Nidhi are one such team, who would fit perfectly into the GDC! Stating what they like doing and are good at would just be repetitive, but one thing i know, there's so much passion and enthusiasm whenever either of them are talking about a trip they took to some coolio place in some corner of some unknown place in the country and how they got a simply mesmerizing shot of an absolutely normal peanut or something, that i would really wanna be there(to see that peanut..). Isn't that the higher purpose of a random investment like this? All the best you both, and a great journey and everything else.

Kartik loves to travel. More so he loves adventure. You call him any weekend and he will have a new place to enlighten you about and that too with well researched inputs on places of stay, hotels to eat and places where you can get the necessary refreshments - including ice factories! Now isn%u2019t that a true travel freak! I can vouch for that, because I can beat all the testimonials with regards to the period of my association with him. kaching ! zip zip! run run ! chom chomp ......phew ...scribble, click, scribble... and end it with a : ). This is pretty much how I have built a picture of both nidhi ( pure enthusiasm )and kartik ( whom i've met once, heard about a lot and completely loved the stories).It never takes them long to 'kaching' an idea spontaneous as ever, zip their bags and before you know it I hear they are at a lovely location, sampling foods which I am so sure makes them so content that the only three things close to their mouth would be more food, talks about food and a burp. And always return with photos that make me unbelievably jealous, and nidhi with stabilo pens & a landmark notepad into which she scribbles all the time ( in a super tiny font ). So there is not the slightest doubt in my head that if there is another one of these travels they have to go on ( ahem ! the gdt of course ) they will definitely kick some monkey butt . When I got the mailer that these 2 are participating in this contest, I immediately went and read all that the contest is about... I came to the conclusion that these 2 are the perfect team for this... KK loves to drive, and Nidhi is a great photographer (proof lies on flickr)... And yeah, they both love travel & adventure... the difference between other who 'say' they love to travel and these 2 is that these 2 actually 'do' travel a lot and especially on road trips... and it invariably turns out to be somewhat of an adventure...
