When I saw Amith and Mrunmaiy had jumped into the GDC, I was surprised. It was like starting to run in a race, on 9 July, when most of the athletes were panting in the last few laps and the finish line was approaching on 17 July. But I have never cared for winning or losing. I have always been too immersed in the journey to spare my eye for the destination. So I have always admired those who take part -- in the journey of life. And, lest we forget, this is only the GDC, not life. For this and only this reason, I applaud Amith and Mrunmaiy. What could have been, if they had started off earlier? My thanks to the 77 who've written testimonials and the 352 who've voted till 5 pm on Thursday, 16 July. It does not matter for me that they make it or not in the GDC. What matters is that they took part and they tried their best till the end ... with a little help from friends. I like your guts and and your sporting spirit. For you, the journey (of life) will be its own reward. This is my ardent wish for you. This is what you deserve. Peace and love - Joe.
