Hi, We are Rahul & Manjiri from Mumbai, India. I am an engineer working with a KPO called Avalon as a project Manager. My life partner as well as partner for the expedition is Manjiri. she is business graduate from Poona University and currently engaged in looking after our two sweeties Tanaya and Riva. We love travelling and exploring new places. Give us any mode of transport from bullock cart to car and there it is :-) we are ready to take off. I am sure this expedition will also be an addition to our long list of travel experience.

We are the best candidates because...

Best candidate or not.....does not matter to us as we are not here to compare ourselves. we love travelling and since my childhood I have been going places with my parents. As I grew up to a legal age for driving I started expolring places around Poona on my beloved bike which is now 20years old. After our marriage we continued travelling by road to various places with or without kids be it a planned trip of 1200 kms to B'lore or an unplanned trip to Rajasthan in good old diesel amby. We both have passion to explore new places , meet new people and try local food. We have covered many places in India and abroad and will continue to enjoy traveling till our last breath....

Our Travel Plan

Plan for great driving....enough fuel is more than enough.....according to me the route for the particular expedition should be from Mumbai to Trivendrum via Konkan. The coastal ride....which covers from beaches to lush green ghats and great mountains of Nilgiris....This route is ideal as it covers approximately 3000 kms. Weather is almost ideal round the year except the monsoons....but monsoon has its own charm....

Our Travelogue

Past experience.....in travel......I hope the reader will get tired reading all the stories about our travel....we have a long list of places we have travelled since we stepped on this mother earth...lets start from my childhood...when I was two my parents went to Dwarka and Somnath in Saurashtra in Gujarat in their Standard Harold... I am talking of the year 1973....that was my first long road travel. after that I went to chardham with them again when I was five by road from Delhi.....This continues with the avarage two to three trips per year every year to Poona from Surat which is about 450 Kms. So I have enjoyed the road travel since my childhood... When I was in my teens we went to Rajasthan in premier padmini covering about 2500 kms and visiting Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Later on I went to Makrana in Rajasthan in good old diesel amby driving for 18 hours non stop !!!! in my college days I have explored places like Murud-Janjira, Alibuag, Mahabaleshwar, Mumbai, Nashik, Shirdi etc on bike from Poona. We went to God's Own Country "Kerala" for our honeymoon covering the entire trip in Car starting from Cochin to Munnar, Thekkedy, Kovalam etc...After that we went to Mt Abu, Kanha National Park, Ranthambhor Tiger Reserve, Assam,Kaziranga national park, parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Hyderabad, coastal Andhra etc. On western cost we have covered Poona, Mahad, Ratnagiri, ganpatipule, Goa, Kolhapur etc. Couple of years back we had planned a bike trip to Ladakh but that could not happen and we went for a mountaineering expedition in Himalayas. We love travelling and whenever we get time out of our routine and restricted lifestyle....

Rahul has a love for travel, be it his motorcycle or his car... On a personal note Rahul enjoys cruising on the road, has a love for various cuisines and a penchant for long trips. His humble nature enables him to make friends quickly and he makes things lively when he is around.
