They say opposites attract.. I always thought these principles in science have little relevance in our daily lives until I met Aahana. She is a Human Resource professional, simple, no - disc – only - music - lounge kind of a gal and is not even close to understanding what we know as adventure. And about some months back, adventure for her meant drives at probably 60km/hr speed on an (almost) busy road. I am a Finance professional, crazy about traveling, an adventure and travel freak, and love nature. Like doing everything eccentric when it comes to being close to the soil, greens and blues on earth. And why the introductory line? Because the two blissfully opposite individuals you just read about are ready to tie knots this year. I have taken this impossible - personified - challenge of getting her to live the spirit through what I call LIFE. I have already set the process in motion ( read our column further to know how )and this one is going to be the most interesting ride with my attempt likely to hit the ceiling .. You guys would vote for us, wont you? And in return be sure of getting 100% value of your vote because I promise to keep you tuned to our journey (only possible if you support ) close enough for you to experience the moments live! -Yogesh

We are the best candidates because...

Not just because I like traveling, photographing, sports and adventure, but we are the best candidates because Bungi Jumping, Rappelling, River rafting, Kayaking, Zorbing, fishing, Cat – a - Pult, paragliding , camping, are already a part of inclusives of our list of the escapades already tried hands on.. (Check the pics out). What now is a part of our wish list is sky diving, scuba diving, night trekking, bike hiking, hunting, skiing (cross country), mountain racing and of course the Great Driving Challenge if lady luck looks at us with the prejudiced eye). And since we are talking about sports, let me not forget to mention that I am a part of Limca Book of Records for my Table Tennis achievements. And above all why we are the best match is because this challenge would certainly make it easier for me to change my first line from just me liking the above to 'WE' liking it all. Let me put it this way...This ride would rally around my challenge of getting my partner to come to grip with what true Life means! Most importantly... we know its just one life.. Lets live it they way it is to be lived.. King size! Guys... Need your help!

Our Travel Plan

Mumbai -->Surat-->Jaipur--> Delhi --> Chandigarh --> Manali --> Rohtang la -->Shimla & back to Mumbai.... To start with we want to move from Mumbai, head to Surat corridor to experience the engulfing streets that lead to Makiapul , the famous port that we have always longed to see. (Also heard a lot about Gaurav Path which seemingly is the best place for a drive...). Our journey would proceed to the place which reminds me of stretching breadth of desert, legendry palaces, finger licking cuisine, the sand dunes and all the unearthed, innate beauty. Yes it's Jaipur. Jaipur would be followed by Delhi and I can’t wait to gobble the appetizing chole chat. Don’t mind a little of bhangra at Chandigarh at all and of course give you a glimpse of city's greatest architectural creations. We would next pack our bags for Manali to experience the frosty snowfall, move to Rohtang la for its thrilling wildlife, halt at Shimla for hikes and see the last part back at Mumbai.. Can’t wait to reach the high altitudes, capture the mesmerizing beauty in valleys, camp around lakes on the way, visit monasteries, talk to locals, shoot & capture jaw-dropping landscapes, and of course drive through the terrains... You don wanna miss it, right?? Vote for us guys - Yogesh

Our Travelogue

Accidentally I have met most of my friends while travelling. So u can very well guess , how interesting have my travel experiences been.. I have personally travelled a great deal in India and almost entire US. Have taken a trip to Panchmari, a famous hill station in Madhya Pradesh. Mumbai, being the closest to my home town . Cant forget what I lived through at Goa amidst the oceanic waters, the night-life at the casinos and unbeatable water sports. Recollect the tram rides in Kolkatta, chilling and icy breeze in Delhi while on a college study tour..And how can I my trip to Haryana from Delhi via famous GT road..People so different, culture so different. So much so that you can buy the most expensive garments for Rs. 500 from the most expensive shop in the town !! Memories of my trip to the US run back to 2006. And I hold these from the time I boarded the aircraf to the US to the day I stepped back on Indian soil. My actual journey in US began with a drive through called Pacific Coast Highway , which is one of America's great scenic drives. While touring California, taking this road between San Francisco and Los Angeles opened up a variety of coastal scenery, from rugged sea cliffs and pounding surf to nature preserves and rural towns a world away from their big-city anchors. On seeing my joy for water wets, I remember my brother in law mentioning to me that you would know what beaches and water thrill is when we visit San Diego. His lines turned into an actual experience. Beaches are a way of life, joy and pride of San Diego and realized that beaches are such an influence in people's lives there.. Truly.. I visited San Jose when it was sticky summers. Even if people were melting into hot sticky messes on streets of San Jose, I was mighty excited about being there. There was music in the park, ( u know a free concert is always welcome ), felt as if it was Christmas time. What I enjoyed the most was the Great America and Raging waters . Phoenix is where my sister and my brother in law reside. So home for me in the US was Phoenix. What i heard from them was that the city was famous for its political culture ( not that I was too interested to get into details ), but my sister made sure I know more of it. So I had the ' privilege ' ( like she calls it ) to visit the museums to study on Jack Swelling who seemingly discovered the city an named the city... But I know you guys are here to read some interesting stuff.. So let me move on to Grand Canyon. Had not seen anything as striking as this.. Grand Canyon is more than a great chasm carved over millennia through the rocks of Colarado Plateau. It is more than a picturesque view. Later came Sedona, Flagstaff and all of these places has something new to give.. But what I had most waited for was Los Angeles. Like my brother in law felt, that my sole reason for visiting US was visiting Los Angeles. I had dreamed of going to Hollywood ever since I was a kid. I cant forget the vintage train rides at Fillmore, Universal Studio visit.. ( By the way I have witnessed each stunt shown in the flick ' Kambakht Ishq where Aki is showcasing his himself as the Hollywood stuntman ) ).. I cant forget the Hollywood street where the biggest brand stores are seen live.. Disneyland rides.. I could have only dreamt about these in Hollywood movies.. There is so much more to speak of.. But probably after the race we are on for.. You guys are with us right? Hope you voting... Yogesh..
