Thanks to my father's profession- I got to explore a lot of beautiful places in India.. With my family,I took in breath taking sights of the East, experienced the rich culture of the West, visited the grand North and the equally awesome South. My childhood experiences made me absolutely passionate about exploring and discovering new destinations and so when I grew up,I took up every possible opportunity to get aquainted with new places and also revisit and relive experiences of the past. I'd say, i was lucky at work too... I visited scintillating Singapore n terrific Thailand. And of my recent visits, I'd say the trip to the Lakshwadeep Islands was absolutely memorable- its a trip I'll definitely make again with Sunayana this time!! The pristine beaches and the virgin islands are certain things that I wouldn't want her to miss in this lifetime :-) Sunayana, too is equally passionate about travelling. She too has travelled to various places..She has fond childhood memories of her stay in Lagos and her visit to Paris.. and then even more recent memories of her visit to a whole lot of places in India..like the wondrous Rajasthan (which is where we hail from!) ,and the awe-inspiring hill stations of the North and the East. She often talks about her numerous visits to the jungles of Ranthambore and a lot of instances where she got to observe the wildlife n the majestic tigers, up close and personal! Soon after we tied the knot,we began our travel expeditions... we would try to escape the fast paced life of the metros by driving off to serene places nearby. The picturesque hills of Ooty and the lush green forests of Bandipur were among our very first destinations. We experienced our first snowfall together in Shimla- and it was absolutely breath taking!! Our visit to the Vaishno Devi shrine was an absolute adventure- we tried walking the distance the night before Sunayana's birthday in an absolute thunderstorm!! Holding on to each other, praying n running around for cover!!
