Hiii... we are Pooja and Siddharth. We are the kind of people who work from holiday to holiday. We are here because we like adventure and would love to do this trip together. Between the two of us we have seen quite a lot of India... but the thrills of seeing a place together is what we want to experience through this contest. Work wise, my better half is an analyst with a leading IT company and I work in a German based company in the oil and gas domain.

We are the best candidates because...

My wife has the experience of driving on the busy roads of Laxmi Road in Pune at 5 Kmph to driving on the Autobahn (Germany) at 200 Kmph. I myself have done a lot of road trips as a kid. Currently, we are based out of Mumbai and my parents stay in Pune, which makes the Mumbai-Pune road journey a regular feature for us. Apart from with diverse drivnig experience, and the enthusiasm to do a road trip we are good team of a driver and navigator... I listen to everything my wife has to say ;) The last thing is probably one of the most important things that make us good candidates for this trip ;)

Our Travel Plan

A 3000 km road trip can never do justice to India for anyone who wants to truly experience what it has to offer. Never the less we plan to burn rubber by traveling across the North West of India. Starting from Mumbai first stop the beautiful and unique beaches of Daman, heading into the heart of Gujarat, the dry but mystical Rann of Kutch and its finger licking cuisine. Next on the route would be the Rajasthan, undoubtedly one of the most colourful states of India. Offering a wide and diverse viewing pleasures, be it the great Thar Desert in Bikaner / Jaisalmer, the Forts and Palaces in Udaipur and Jaipur and nestled in the desert state the beautiful hill station of Mount Abu. Cutting across to the Taj Mahal in Agra. The most beautiful monument the world has seen. The ultimate symbol of romance, which continues to mesmerize visitors till date. Needing a change in scenario next stop would be prestine clam and beauty of Sawai Madhavpur and the lovely green forest of Ranthambore. Coming into the last phase of the journey continuing thru MP into Mhow and then back to Mumbai via Nashik – paying a visit to the gods to thank them for a successful and safe journey. A journey that offers a great mix of what India has to offer a rich blend of the cultural heritage and the natural beauty it has to offer. Watch out India here we come. PS : Just planning has got my appetite going for the trip

Our Travelogue

My wife has travelled from Leh to Trivandrum and from Wagah Border in Amritsar to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. Outside the country she has been to many places in the US and a few coutries like Germany and France in Europe. I myself have been to almost the entire of South India including Tekadi, Ooty, Kodaikanal to name a few and have seen the entire expanse of the Kumaon and Gadwal region in the north. Outside the country I have been to Denmark, Dubai and Sri Lanka. Knowing what travel freaks we are we have decided that we would take a holiday every year at one location in India and one outside India. Ever since our marriage a year and a half ago we already have been to Mauritius, Singapore, Goa and Dehradun. We would like to add this road trip in our adventure list.
