We met on the badminton courts in the quaint lanes of Koregoan Park, Pune in 2002 and that’s from where our story began. Four seasons of courting, secret meetings and getaways later, we knew that between all our fighting and making up that we belong together. A whole lot of drama, fanfare and after a big fat Punjabi-Sindhi wedding in 2004 with a 1000 people to bear witness we have made our journey. Fast forward to present day, we are both in our late 20’s. Mohit is an Engineering Grad who is now heading his own construction firm in Pune and has recently diversified into the field of hospitality developing business hotels. Payal is Solicitor practicing property law and alternate dispute redressal processes and plans to write a book on a still undecided topic (as there are so many she wants to share) in the not so distant future. We may sound like a boring serious couple but the mask comes of outside of work and the best introduction to us is what we have to say about each other. PAYAL SAYS: Mohit is quiet and smiling. He is laidback but hardworking and takes each day as it comes. He is shy but once he likes you, it’s a whole different persona. MOHIT SAYS: Payal is the always chirpy, short tempered crazy gal. I just don’t know what she is gonna come up with next. PAYAL SAYS: Don’t let his baby face demeanor and quiet nature fool you for one second. Haven’t you heard the saying, Still waters run deep!!! Believe it or not he runs me around on his fingertips. MOHIT SAYS: I so do not. Who makes who run is something we all know. I should tell you that on our 5th wedding anniversary, my wifey dearest hid my presents all over Pune. I had to drive around (with her to keep me as company) from dawn to dusk on the treasure hunt of my gifts and the clues took me from one part of the city to another with me having to do many tasks on the way. So who makes who run? PAYAL SAYS: Nonsense, that’s a one off and you had fun doing it… MOHIT INTERRUPTS: Haha, yea honey that I sure did! PAYAL CONTINUES: Besides you drive me crazy with your constant change in plans... I never know what’s gonna happen… MOHIT SAYS: you drive me crazy with your plans haha and your imitation of cartoon characters… you should be on cartoon network PAYAL SAYS: You should be on animal planet..! We are the best candidates because...

We are the best candidates for this adventure as we love to travel and specially road trips! Together we have explored lots of places in India and overseas. We love to drive so much so that we have participated in rallies such as Pune’s first mountain autocross event called the 'Wildernest Sultans of Speed’ where Payal actually won the fastest lady driver title. We are both adrenalin junkies and have tried everything from snow tubing in the Alps (we don’t know how to ski LOL), to snorkeling, quad biking, parasailing, paragliding and white water rafting in the not so white waters of the River Kundalika. Skydiving and Bungee jumping are next on the list. For us the journey is part of the experience to any destination. Road trips are the best way to explore any region and we have both done our fair share of road trips together and apart, in India and abroad. We want to experience the diversity of India’s culture, colors, topography and not to mention the food, as we are both foodies  Through our stories you will experience all these things and get different prospectives as we are total opposites are rarely agree on anything except that we love to trouble and spoil each other. For us Life is a journey and this experience a pit stop of our adventures.

Our Travel Plan

Our travel plan will lead us from Bombay through Gujarat to amazing Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh before we make it back.

Our Travelogue

Together we have explored the majestic Alps, the lovely country side of England, the golden deserts in Fujairah & Hatta in Arabia. Tasting fondue, rostti in the alps to relaxing in a pub in London, having sheesha and sulemani with some khabus, humus & marakeesh on the road side “dhabas” of the Emirates, feeding the fish along the coral islands in Thailand, exploring the harbors in Hongkong and admiring the skyline from Victoria’s peak are just some of the of the experiences in our travels abroad. In India we have explored the interiors of Maharashtra Mulshi, Mahabaleshwar, Nashik, Shirdi to the exotic beaches of Goa and the restlessness of Mumbai and our travels up north have made us explore the madness of chandani chowk delhi. Roadside food from chaat, cholas to wadapav and missal pav, we’ve experimented with it all. Individually Payal has taken road trips in India which have taken her to the lovely towns and cities from her hometown Pune to Jaipur, Udaipur, Amritsar, Nabha, Chandigarh, Delhi, Agra, Kulu, Manali, Rohtang Pass, Atari, Beas, Wagha border, Srinagar, Jammu, Fatehpur Sikri, Mathura, Haridwar, Jhasi, Khajurao, Mangalore, Bangalore, Ooty, Mysore, Coorg, Cochin, Kovalam, Periyar, to Kumarakom. Overseas Payal has explored on the road trip in the state of New York right from the Big apple to the mountains of Poconos and Niagara falls through till Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Atlanta and Florida. In Europe her travels have taken her from the raunchiness of Amsterdam through the windmills in Netherlands, tasting the chocolates and tortes in Belgium in the small cafes, to the fashion conscious streets of the cultural Paris, to canals of Venice and the castles in Germany to the peaceful and overpowering aura of the Vatican. There are still a lot of places our journey is to take us to and we look forward to each and every one of them.
