*Anubhav - Hi!! I am a tall, young & good looking guy. A marketing professional employed with IBM as Marketing Manager. And coming up next is a short, little, older than me & an ok types girl (my bitter; ooops!! Better Half) trying to impress you............*Surabhi - Tall, young & good looking!! OMG - some one trying to leave an impression, as alwayz..... Hi Friends, I am a Marketing Professional too working as Product Manager the Hatke way!! I mean with Virgin Mobile.............*Anubhav & Surabhi - We are happily married for last 1 year 5 months & 14 days (as of today 17th July ;) ) and known each other for almost 6 years now..........*Anubhav - Both of us like driving and often end up fighting to grab the steering while going for a drive together. Telling you guyz though I stay away from female drivers, as you never know when & which direction they turn their steering into; but this women can take you for a ride when given the steering control, she rocks!!...........*Surabhi – Thanks for being generous (though not expected most of the times..lol). We both love watching movies, having fun with friends & going out for long drives. Personally I am also fond of the great delicacies prepared by my In House personal Chef- Mr. Anubhav (Good at cooking stories also!! where were you last evening huh!!) ..................*Anubhav – Wish I could say similar words for your cooking skills too! Anyways thanks for the appreciation Mam! Always at your service (don’t have any other option). I guess enough of our intro lady lets go to the next section now..............*Surabhi – But I have just started!!! :( ..................*Anubhav – Your starting will never end.. This is about an application form and not the saas bahu soap!!.............*Anubhav & Surabhi – So folks we are sure you would have realized the kind of deep love we share with each other. Lets go ahead!!

We are the best candidates because...

Well being the best is a RESPONSIBILITY rather than a TRAIT........................ We have the right balance of QUICK DECISION MAKING (in the form of Anubhav’s spontaneity) and CAUTIOUSNESS (in the form of Surabhi’s patience and calmness). These traits surely help us manage responsibilities in a good way and we hope to keep up the standards expected from the Event!!

Our Travel Plan

Our journey for The Great Driving Challenge would originate from Mumbai & head towards the city of Sun and seafood, Bibinca and beaches, ‘firangs’ and feni. The land of palm-fringed beaches where you can easily chill out under the sun with a cool drink by your side, surf the waves, or party away the nights. This is also the land of magnificent old churches, remnants of the grandeur and the glory that was the Portuguese empire 500 years ago. Yes! You guessed it right – Go GOA!! We would pass through forested roads, Karnala Bird Sanctuary and touching upon the places on the way like Murud, Shrivardhan and Harihareshwar. Roaming & hanging around in Goa for a day we plan to head straight towards another beautiful beach city Mangalore. The stretch between Goa to Mangalore is the best of NH 17, where the Arabian Sea meets you quite often. Taking short stoppages to click picturesque all along the way of this beautiful trek, we will be passing thru Udipi, Bhatkal where the sun-kissed Trasi beach would lay spread in front of us. We would pass over innumerable bridges straddling rivers, offering stunning views with one side of the road right over the sea, and on the other, the creek. Since this part of the country is said to be so gorgeous we would spend a lot of time capturing and preserving it for the rest of our lives. Spending a night over here we will head towards Banagalore. Then head from Bangalore towards Puducherry via places like Krishnagiri, Chengam, Tiruvannamalai, Gingee capturing the beautiful scenery enroute. Next destination after puduchery would be Chennai. We plan to visit Mahabalipuram & Kanchi puram during this leg of the tour through East Coast Road, capturing the breathtaking picturesque views of the spectacular scenic beauty with beaches and fishermen hamlets throughout the drive. And then the final leg of the tour would be starting from Chennai till Mumbai. In this phase we plan to cover Kurnool, Hyderabad, Pune (Lonavala & Khandala) and then reach the final destination. Not to be missed all the way would be the never ending photography of sheer magnificence of the never ending sea coastline, patches of lush green virgin land all through the way, and constant updates on the blogs & sharing of our experience with family and friends. Driving tips we plan to keep in mind, -Fuel en route on time so that we don’t end up troubling ourselves -Check the tire pressures before starting a journey. -Since it’s the monsoon season, need to make sure we dry your brakes after driving through the standing water.

Our Travelogue

In the short span of life we have spent together, we have travelled a lot... From the hills and small physical activities of Shoghi to the wild life of Ranthambhore & Kanha National Park... Anything that's different excites us, whether it’s the new age Theme Park at Genting or the heavenly Star Cruise… At the same time sticking to the Cultural roots, we also enjoyed our trip to Vaishno Devi and Amarkantak… But Jet Skiing at Phuket was the most thrilling experience for us, specially because none of us knows swimming and every time we lost balance the huge ocean surrounding us opened its mouth to engulf us raw!! But the adrenaline rush all through this was a lifetime experience… Other than this, transit from Delhi to Ranthambhore had been an unforgettable experience where we drove down 480Km continuously in a single day… enjoying the drive and clicking the best ever “Sarso ke Khet “ spreading around the entire area as far as you see, as if nature has sprinkled a yellow coloured powder from its blue packet on the green carpet that earth holds… Check out the pics showcased here to get a snapshot of these experiences!!
