We are the best candidates because...

Since we both are from travel industry,we keep gathering information from wherever we can and come up with exciting destinations that are unexplored or unusual. We are an adventurous couple and like trekking and long drives. We always make sure to go on vacation atleast 4 to 5 times in a year and to fulfill our dream of exploring India by road we went for a Tata Safari last year and since then there has been no looking back. I am really fond of long drives and have driven about 850-900 km in a single day. I am sure my past experience would really help in this challenge and would be a great advantage for me. Finally we are both very fond of photography and generally we click around 400-500 photographs on a vacation so that we can always enjoy the past. We are sure that we are ready for this challenge.

Our Travel Plan

We plan to go from delhi to kinnaur, rohtang pass, Keylang, lahaul spiti – Uttarkashi – tehri- garhwal- rudra prayag- chamoli(which is very close to china border)-pithoragarh-almora-pauri-hardiwar-delhi. However this challenge would be starting from mumbai, so we wish to explore maharashtra and the nearby states. We will start from Mumbai and cover all the hill stations en route to Pune eg Lonavala, khandala, have also heard a lot about Panchgani. From there we will head to the western coastline going all the way to Kerela via goa and Karnataka. We also plan to cover some of the wildlife sanctuary and national parks as we both are very fond of nature and its beauty. From there we will back to Mumbai.

Our Travelogue

Recently we went to a trek near solan...which was through a jungle...with no villages close by....it was a 3 hrs trek up the mountain to a an ancient cave and a temple...inside the cave was complete darkness...with bats n snakes...though we couldn't go very deep as it was completely dark inside but we enjoyed the thrill n adventure...It took us almost 9-10 hrs to finish the trek...we were exhausted though but it was worth it.....had loads of fun..... We also went to a village named sam which is 40kms ahead of jaiselmer and it is very close to the pakistani border.. It was a 750km drive from delhi, took us almost 12 hrs, which we covered at a stretch . We stayed there in a desert camp...with absolutely no civilization close by.Went for desert safari , It was very peaceful n fun at the same time. From here we went to ranthambore national park directly which was again a long drive. Lots of other destinations...include goa , jim corbett, ranthambore, dalhousie, villages in interiors of himachal...where we also have a second home, ramgarh(which is 30 kms ahead of nainital), uttranchal, Maletha( on the way to badrinath)......lots more to come. We are proud to say that since we got married we havent missed out on an opportunity to travel...n all these destinatiions have been covered in the past 2 and a half years.

Testimonials

Rahil

Full of energy Madhav and Ruchi always manage to squeeze in time from their work life for a Holiday. Be it the green landscapes of the hills in north India, the deserts of rajastan or sun kissed beaches of goa, this travel hungry couple has been on a mission. I find them completely deserving of the driving the cool cedia across India and wish them all the best.
