Although the two of us have never had the chance to travel together apart from places around Mumbai, we have a fair share and amount of traveling experience in India and abroad. Let me start with my (Deepti's) list. In India I have been to quite a few destinations like Vaishnav Devi, Jammu, Delhi, Mussorie, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, Amritsar, Rajasthan, Ooty, Bangalore, Udipi, Kanyakumari, Chennai, Tirupati, Madurai, Cochin, Indore and a few places around Mumbai. My personal best experience has to be Jaisalmer. Nothing beats the dessert safari on camel back or the Rajasthani food, Palaces, Forts and the royal historical stories that resound in every part of Rajasthan. The Taj Mahal at Agra did get me awestruck like most other tourists present there. And how can I forget the lovely Golden Temple, which I think is the purest place of worship I have visited. The LANGAR served in the temple is simply delicious. Talking of food, the KESAR DA DHABA visit is worth a mention. It was a shack kind of eatery situated in the old Amritsar town and my mouth still waters when I recollect the Parathas and lassi. And lastly the back waters of Kerela was the most serene boat ride I have had. I have also lived in the UK for a short while, and I have to admit that this country has the most scenic country side. The view from Cardiff Bay was simply breathtaking. One has to walk around the bay with ENGLISH eataries lined by all along to visualize this. Of course London still remains the best CITY in the world. One other striking place I visited was the EDEN PROJECT in Cornwall. Coming to Brijesh he is someone who has explored the overseas waters more. He has traveled on a cruise to Singapore & Malaysia. He says the first thing one tends to do is SHOP TILL YOU DROP. But he actually skipped that routine and discovered that the BOOGIE MARKET in Singapore is one of the most interesting places he came across. This used to be a typical Chinese Goods market with some interesting products other than the usual clothes/ shoes. Langkawi island at Malaysia for him was the best part about the trip. He has also traveled to Dubai and says that hands down its the ultimate PARTY CITY. The Dessert Safari (not on camel backs) was the most adventurous and not for the weak hearted. The safari is followed by some beautiful belly dancers entertainment which is hard to cope with and gives most tourists a complex. The variety of food available at Dubai is phenomenal. There is something for everyone. Brijesh studied in the country down under in Australia and says SYDNEY is the ultimate city to live in. He sarcastically exclaims that Australia is much more than what our Bollywood movies capture. The harbour bridge, opera theater, Bondi beach and many such landmarks makes Sydney so unforgettable. Places that Brijesh loved to drive to in spare time or weekends were Melbourne, Gold Coast, Blue Mountain and alot more such snow capped mountains. He once went to this Vinyard and actually got down to crushing the grapes. He vouches that AUSTRALIAN wine is better than the best... CHEERS MATE
