We NEELAM SANJIV and SANJIV DAGAR are from Delhi. I am working as Manager - Corporate Communications with a Delhi based firm. My husband is a Legal Head with an American MNC. Our motto in life is BE DIFFERENT ALWAYS !! This unique motto has helped us STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD in school, college, office etc. because we look at life differently, we do things differently, tackle problems differently. Above all, we get smitten by things which are done differently. THE GREAT DRIVING CHALLENGE is one such competition which is very different from other competitions. We fell in love with this idea and took the plunge almost at the last minute....but we are happy to be part of this innovative campaign......KUDOS TEAM CEDIA !! We both are doing pretty well in our professional spheres which is hectic at most of the times. We energise ourselves by visiting new places every now and then. We had been to Dubai, Manila, Bangkok, Yangon, Germany and London. But...but...but...we both feel that INDIA HAS THE BEST OF EVERYTHING !! We have our own mini Switzerland in the form of Kashmir, pradise in the form of Kerela, hi tech city Banglore, political hub nub Delhi and pulsating trade capital in the form of Mumbai.We are specially smitten by the EXOTIC & UNTOUCHED LOCALES of North Eastern part of India like Sikkim, Shillong, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Guwahati and Darjeeling.We also love Goa, MUmbai, Hyderabad, Banglore, Agra, Varanasi, Himachal and others. KUDOS INDIA !! Most of the couples are participating in this contest to enjoy the all expense paid 10 days but we have already planned our SOCIAL CAMPAIGN ON THE DRIVE !! We are sure people will bless CEDIA FOR THIS MEMORABLE EVENT.

We are the best candidates because...

We may not be the best because THERE IS ALWAYS A SCOPE FOR IMPROVEMENT but the fact is that we as a team are VERY COMPLIMENTARY TO EACH OTHER (with diverse talents at both ends of the spectrum !!) . We have a great zeal to do things differently. You all can experience the difference only when you give us a chance to surge ahead with the help of your votes.....Looking forward to your support.

Our Travel Plan

We do not want to spill the beans right now but we can assure you that WE WILL STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD in our own little way and also MAKE THIS EVENT AS ONE OF THE BEST CONTEST EVER !! Since we are based in Delhi, we cud have taken the common route of NOrth India but we being high on the UNCOMMON QUOTIENT would like to travel the coastal and southern India assuming that GDC will start the contest from MUmbai. We plan to start from Mumbai and reach Goa by covering 600km. From Goa to Mysore 700 km. Mysore to Bangaluru 150 km. Bangalore to Pondicherry 300km. Pondicherry to Ooty 300km. Ooty to Munnar 500 km. Finally if we are supposed to be back at Mumbai as final destination then we start for Mumbai from Munnar otherwise we travel down south to chennai and kerela to complete 3000 kms. On the way we plan to capture the scenic beauty since BEAUTY APPEALS TO ALL. But then we also plan to capture the HUMAN ELEMENT by doing SOCIAL WORK ON THE DRIVE !! Since I am into Corporate Communication field I think I will be able to justice in putting across the messages through blogs, media, people about the GDC.

Our Travelogue

We have traveled across the length and breadth of India. If we will go into the details of our past visits, it will take the shape of a MAHA GRANTHA !! Keeping in mind the interest of everybody, we will try to be brief in sharing our past travel experience. Let us start from our trip to the VIBRANT GOA !! It’s a place which cannot be forgotten because of its numerous beaches, lively people, liberal atmosphere and even adventure sports at the beach. We simply loved para sailing there. Our favourite beach was the lesser known cocoa beach which has lush green coco trees all around. We loved collecting sea shells too. But the best part was the RENTED MOTORCYCLE that we used to hire in the morning and use it till midnight…….we were two free birds in the liberal city of goa enjoying the nature ride and the prawns at the same time. We also had a gala time at the ferry ride. We have also been to DYNAMIC MUMBAI. We simply cannot forget the pace of life in Mumbai. But we loved the bhel at Chaupati and Juhu. We used to walk barefoot on the shore for long hours while the waves came touched our feet and went away……..it was a wonderful feeling. We used to have long drives late in the night at the MARINE DRIVE !! But the best part was to laze around at the Gate way of India late at night listening to the waves beating across the walls of this historic structure. We also enjoyed our sea trip to Elephanta caves which was a welcome change from the hustle bustle of Delhi. We have also been to QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS MUSOORIE and Dehradun. I simply loved being at Kempty falls….. we clicked some very romantic photographs with Kempty fall in the background. It was a complete delight to ride the cable car ( through ropeway ).We also loved the Buddhist monastery. It was a pleasure to do boating at the lake in Mussorie. We also visited the holy hot water fountain in Dehradun. We have also been to Dalhousie in peak winters with snow all around. It was a pleasure to do skiing there. In north, we have been to THE CLEAN CITY CHANDIGARH. I had gone there to shoot for our corporate film as seen in the photograph below. I received a MERIT CERTIFICATE and an APPRECIATION LETTER from my company for the quality of film…….but see the irony of life…….I came to know of this contest so late and I have a full time job so am unable to do justice with my own profile/blog whereas I do content writing/speech writing for others !! But then atleast I TRIED MY BEST IN THE LIMITED 6 DAYS THAT I GOT …. We had been to Jim Corbett national Park. The picture of the safari is given below but we had gone there in support of an NGO which helps the orphan children. We have also been to Bikaner and Jaipur . It was altogether a different experience when we visited the HOLY CITY VARANASI. The ganga aarti at ghats in the evening was simply ethereal. It was a beautiful amalgamation OF LIGHT (aarti) and SOUND (chanting of Vedas). Our trip to London and Germany was also very memorable. We had been to Bangkok , Manila and Yangon also. But my personal favourite is Yangon because it is one of the CLEANEST CITIES I have ever visited......there is literally NO POLLUTION there and lots of greenery all around. The people are so humble and helpful. I really enjoyed shopping for PRECIOUS GEMS there,,,,,,,infact I shopped for gems worth 2 lacs in my first visit itself !! But one thing which should not be missed is the PAGODAS (place of worship of this country). They are a marvel in architecture as well as beauty and vastness. THe most famous of them all is the SHWEDAGON PAGODA which has BIG AND COLOURFUL DIAMONDS at their top which were shown to us through telescope only. In Bangkok I loved the high rise buildings and casinos. Its a shoppers paradise and especially for silk items. I bought 50 silk ties for my husband ../and he went bonkers about it. Hey how can I forget the TUKTUK RIDE.........they are special motorised rickshaw in Bangkok. The pleasure we had at Pataya was also memorable. .

Thank you all for the support that u have extended to us........I WISH WE COULD KNOW ABOUT THIS CONTEST EARLIER.
