We are Shinjini and Saikat from Delhi. Ardent travellers, and drivers - we love the outdoors, and the thrill to go on driving holidays. I am a Business Resilience certified professional, and deal with training, and consultancy with regard to business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management for corporates and individuals. She is in HR consulting, and works as a "head-hunter". We are here because the lure of the outdoors, and the machine brings in the adrenaline rush - and the thrill to be where the heart rules!

We are the best candidates because...

We love driving, especially in the hills. We just came back from a driving holiday from Lahaul Spiti, and the adventure to negotiate the Rohtang during a snowy-evening was pure rush of cool adrenaline. Our next destination is Kaza in Spiti - a 700 km whirlwind to the remotest part of tribal HP. We drive anything that we can get our hands on, and that which has four wheels and a steering! Travelling beyond the rush of the city - and to find some uncharted destinations is what keeps us going. Even our seven year old boy is a travel freak, and we take him wherever we go when on these dream rides in the car. We believe, it builds character and a strength to face life in its true sense. We are best suited for this challenge because of our knack in reading maps, and finding directions even at the most unhospitable and deserted regions. And we are raring to fire the machine....and drive away...

Our Travel Plan

We intend to do the tribal Himachal region then onto Leh and Srinagar. The route would be like: Delhi - Shimla, then onto Sarahan. Sarahan to Rekong Peo and Kalpa. From Kalpa to Tabo enroute to Kaza. From Kaza right across via Kunzum La, Gramphoo, Tandi to Keylong. Keylong to Jispa and Sarchu, and then on to Leh. From Leh we head towards Srinagar via Lemayuru - Kargil - Drass and Sonamarg. Srinagar Delhi is one straight drive.
