We are Bela and Sharad Joshi, we've been living in Bangalore for the past 10yrs. We are in love with Bangalore as it gives us the opportunity to take frequent weekend breaks to beaches and mountains nearby. Other than that, I am working in a software firm and my wife, though an engineer by profession, is now a homemaker. Me and my wife enjoy listening to music, reading books, and going for concerts and plays. One of my favorite hobbies is to play Bridge (card game) and i am an internet freak! My wife loves to photograph nature while we are on the road. She is also highly interested in meditation. We have two kids, Sneha and Sachin, 16 and 11yrs respectively. As a family we are travel freaks!!

We're the best cuz... we simply love travelling... its a passion fr us... gettin away frm the busy life of a city and just spending time with each other. The trips in our portfolio are testimony to that....

Our Travel Plan

We plan to drive through the mountains of the Sahyadri range, the Konkan area, see the forts of Maharashtra and go through Sholapur all the way to the beaches of Goa.

Our Travelogue

I am an extensive traveller abroad. One of my most interesting trips was to an active volcano, Mount St. Helens, Washington. My family and I have also travelled a lot within India. In December '08 , we drove down to Kanyakumari on the way stopping at places like Coimbatore, Madurai, and Yeracaud. Sikkim was another place we went to. We spent close to 15 days there. It was a great trip as we also got to explore the interiors of the state, visiting places such as Lachen and Lachung(17000 ft above sea level). One of the poignant moments was when we saw the bofors guns on the India- China border. We had a first hand experience of landslides, as stones would unexpectedly come rolling down on the road ahead of our jeep. The cuisine we got to experience during our stay in the state was delicious. Stopping by at a road side food stall and eating hot steaming momos in the misty-cold weather was an amazing experience. We've travelled a lot throughout india.. (especially the south)... from sikkim in the north east to kanyakumari in the south to Rajasthan... everywhere you can think of. We keep taking short trips around Bangalore....been to manipal, pondicherry, goa to name a few of the many places... also, we've travelled to mumbai thrice by road... we also went to this beach called Ganapatiphule... was absolutely so very beautiful...

Hey... hiii... If there's 1 couple who truly deserves to be on this expedition if i may call it... its them. The amount they've travelled around India in a car is enormous.... nd its amazing. theyve driven down from bangalore o mumbai 3 times now, we've taken trips together to Sikkim (2006), Ganapatiphule (2004), Yercaud(2008) and theyve themselves been to Kanyakumari last year (2008).... These are some of the bigger ones.... but ya.... they keep travellin around... visitin new places... theyve travelled around the south a lot.... Moreover, they're humble human beings and a gr8, loving, happily married couple...!!! so ya, no one deserves it more than what they do...!!! :)

These people are great and can handle siting in the car for long periods of time and not get too bored of each other. i have known bela and sharad since 1982.as a couple they are very compatible.they satify their adventurous side by travelling together and discovering life.they always take the road and drive by themselves.they must really love doing this for they have done this very often.this i think is one of the great ways to discover places as it is not only a travel between destinations but also experiencing every little sight or smell of the country.what a rich experience bela and sharad must have gained by now!i wish them many more happy journeys together and with their lovable children.
