We are Thejesh and Lavanya work as software professionals in Bangalore. I am Thejesh, friends often call me Thej. Traveling and blogging has been my major *work* outside my work. Last year I spent my major savings on touring europe. Last year I also got a sponsored trip by Nokia to attend their OpenLab at Helsinki. I was the only Indian to attend OpenLab, which had about forty bloggers from all over the world. I like photography, adventurous sports, driving, tweetering, mobile photography, riding motor cycle. The recent addition to my vehicle fleet is Cannondale F8 bike. My friend Lavanya has travelled extensively in Europe, UK and Switzerland while she worked there. Last year, she spent her savings on touring major parts of US of A and is looking forward to her next annual trip. She too likes adventure sports and blogging. These days, she is into cycling advocacy. Oh yeah, her first 'car' was an MUV, a Mahindra Bolero to be precise. Of late she got herself a Reva and two bicycles.

We are the best candidates because...

We love traveling, driving and blogging. Thejesh did live bloging, tweetering, posting pictures and videos from mobile through out his euro and other trips and drives.

Our Travel Plan

To go on great south Indian beach drive. Konkan offers you great beaches and roads. We like to drive along Konkan to south and then drive back through ECR and through the main land back to Mumbai.

Our Travelogue

Each and every travel offers you different experience. We have traveled extensively both in India and outside India. You can get all my travelogues on my blog. But the best part of traveling is meeting people. Yes, Its meeting the people during the travel which gives me kick. They are the best part of my travel life. Traveling alone gives you that rare chance of meeting strangers. Low cost student/youth hostels are the best place to catch other travelers. Its the best place to hear good stories at the cost of by two chai. I met many on the road. A guy from England who was traveling alone in Asia taking off from his work. I met this high school teacher (don’t remember her name) from Finland in Udaipur. Few college kids on euro train to old bangalore couple in Sikkim. After traveling in many countries and seeing many cities, you will start realizing that every city is lovable and has its own charm. And people all over the world are basically same. Lavanya too shares the same interest in travelling alone and one of her best all-alone trips that she has done is her 3-day trip to Paris while in the UK. That apart, she enjoyed her mostly unplanned weekend getaways in one of the best train networks in the world, in Switzerland.

The only thing more interesting than his software skills is Theja's passion for travel and blogging. I still remember his first article that he e-mailed us. Slowly and stedily he moved up the blog chain to be what he is today. And something that beats his blogging passion is his humungous apetite to travel. We are a bunch of 10 people, passing out of the same college of engineering. Now its a decade of togetherness we share. Thej all through has been different, his perspective of life. His professional life is just a means to an end. But his greater passion is travel, meet new people and share his experiences with the greater world not necessary to be his friend. He has been blogging for six years now and the sheer traffic to his blog is itself a testimony to his popularity. He is on the face type of a guy which might irk few but people who know him take it in the right spirit. Heard a lot about Lavanya from Thej, though never had a chance to meet personally. But I guess she shares common inetrests as Thej and one thing that struck me was her "ECO" bent of mind. Bottomline is as a pair they will make good of this event. My best wishes for them.

Tej!! A wonderful person!!!!!! He loves travel and adventure. I first met him some 4 years back, and every time I meet him, he will have something new and interesting to share. Very energetic and adorable person. He has travelled a lot, and blessed his readers by sharing photos and experience in his website. Nokia kidnapped him and shipped him out of the country sometime back. You can read that in his site.

Thej and Lavanya are among my closest friends and I love their company. I share with them the passion for travel and adventure but lack the driving skills :).
