Brilliant Job - You guys really deserved this one!

For the absolutely gorgeous 88 couples who did not make it, a big congratulations once again for making it to the TOP 100.

I hope you will now join me in congratulating these amazing 12.

Let us enjoy the rest of the journey.

First of all, very very good wishes and congratulations to the top 12 teams. You guys deserve this very well.

TGDC team and the jury, kudos, cheers, bravo. All the sweat, tension, anxiety and pizzas are showing up in the results. If we were you, we would have had the similar nail biting experience selecting top 12.

New jury. Your task is even tougher. You have to keep up to the already raised bar. We trust you guys. Keep up the good work.

Secondly, we did not make it. No sweat. A moment of heart break but it went away when we saw the profiles again. We have a gut feel that we did make it to the top 25 though. We are extremely happy for all 12 teams.

We took time and went through all the profiles again. Everyone has a story to share. We know which couple we are going to follow! Yes!

Going from 700+ to 100 was good feeling! very good. Thanks to TDGC for a thrilling ride even without the ride. :o)

Here is a summary of what we already gained from TGDC.
1. Friends. More friends. yay! (We will definitely be throwing parties for them anywhere and everywhere we get a chance)
2. Motive for photography. Earlier it was just for fun. (It is never too late)
3. Some very nice comments on photographs. Thanks fellows. We are determined for better and better ones in future.
4. Focus to bring a change in the world through our travel and photography. Bring attention to causes, issues, sacrifices, negligence, partiality and what not.
5. Start our own blogs. Multiple blogs. Each focused on one thing. We already have a few hosted servers.
6. Create a platform for people who love travel and photography and want to make a difference in this world, for better. We will come up with something people will find very simple and good to use for all their needs of travel evangelism.
7. Thrill of the participation. It was truly a great ride. We missed meals. We missed work. We missed a few beats. We are not going to miss anything now.
8. Motivation to pick up camera more often. Travel more often. Improve on photography. (Some of the profiles have damn good photos. We are still learning. ha ha ha… everyone is)
9. Never say die! (Well we had this earlier as well. It just got strengthened)
10. Smile always! (Well we had this earlier as well)
11. (on the lighter side) Even big guns like Mitsubishi can get stumped when they run a campaign and get unexpectedly huge response. :o) No offense. Take it cool. EC was very responsive and agile. Very good work EC.

We have a very big grin on our faces while we write this. Happiness from the heart for what we have gained. Happiness to be in top 100. Peace of mind that we played fair & honest.

We are all set to follow a team. We know which one.

Oops. I tried staying away from my computer till 12.05, And I couldn’t do that beyond.

Congratulations to everyone who has taken part in this and best wishes to all our fellow travellers.

This has given all of us a great opportunity to get to know many new people with similar interests and i am sure this will go a long way.

@ Sushant Kumar- I did read your profile after seeing your post. I feel that you and Sweta worked hard on your application and I agree that you are no less then selected 12. I drive a Lancer 1.8 Automatic and I love the smile I get every time I floor the accelerator. It is easy to say “don’t be disheartened” because I am in top-12 but I completely understand the pain and disappointment you are going through, so I would not say this. But…Cheer up Man!! Believe in yourself, this is not end of road. Keep driving, join team-bhp and prepare for season-2 of TGDC. You have my vote. (I hope organizers don’t change the rule of one vote a day

Heartiest congratz to the toppers… All the 12 are equally challenging.. Get ready to give your best shot thro’ the dream drive.. We’ll be watching you till the grand finale.

We still wish we could give you sturdy competition though..

All I can say is THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to all those who believed in us and thought we had a chance to make it this far.

We’re probably the craziest of the lot, but I promise you the whackiest stories and never-seen-before pictures.
With us….you can expect the unexpected! No, seriously. Give us that chance, and watch.

To the couples who didn’t make it… we’re gonna live this dream to the fullest for you, and blog every single detail so you’re not missing out on much. It’s the least we can do. *Big hug*
