DRIVOBLOG® has a mission.

DRIVOBLOG® intends to stand testament to my efforts to prove that “Interstate Road Travel in India is Feasibile”. By traveling intercity and interstate by doing Non-Stop & Overnight trips, after assessing calculated risks.

The initiative is – Use personal transportation to avoid Airlines, Railways, Packers & Movers and Cab Companies, as much as possible.

DRIVOBLOG® could happen because I have anticipated, grabbed, pre-planned every opportunity to undertake Intercity Trips by road, whether on business or pleasure, cajoling bosses, marking holidays, combining weekends with holidays etc.

That’s how DRIVOBLOG® mixes business with pleasure.

Faces change with places, leaving memories, forming impressions, some momentary and some forever. Each having its own tale, each having its history like a monument. Reflecting a thousand emotions, evoking many more. Forgotten, remembered, they haunt, they fascinate & disappear never to be seen again.

Do a google search for acclimatization and one of the meanings that it throws up says – ‘Acclimatization is the reversible process by which a person becomes adapted to a change in the environment. It requires adaptations to a variety of factors (e.g. temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure). Now keeping in mind the long journey that we have ahead of us (assuming that we may make it to the top 3), we decided on embarking on our very own ‘acclimatization program’! Do I see a smirk or a smile somewhere smile ?

Yes, you guessed it right. DRIVOBLOG® - will also be a Movie. This is not a story on myself, but of a young DINK couple, who for professional pursuits, have to relocate far away from their homes and cities, leave their parents and spouse behind, to work in crowded Metros like Hyderabad, Bangalore & Mumbai. The storyline will incredibly 'cinemate' - the 'cast' undergoing job switches, doing intercity relocations, facing financial disasters due to job loss, feeling the pain of social deprivation, experiencing alienation, indulging in adventurous trips and daring driving challenges on Indian Highways - all with the usual set of dramas and emotions that movies have.

It is my instinct that makes me do DRIVOBLOG®. I get a high when I suddenly realize that I have transported myself over great distances without feeling the sense of time. A travelling experience cannot happen without ‘physical relocation’, else we might just be happy seeing picture galleries and not travel at all. As we relocate, the air quality, smell of the air, humidity levels, aroma, ambient noises, infrasound, and food tastes changes and these things convince the sub-conscious mind into believing that ‘relocation’ has happened. On road trips you are not visiting one destination, but every town, every landscape along the highway is a destination. Now that is an uncountable number of destinations, isn’t it?

Search Google for “drivoblog” and it yields testament of the fact that the term DRIVOBLOG® has been coined by me and establishes it’s fan-following across India among the leading Online P2P Automobile & Travel Forums. DRIVOBLOG®  is spelt as Drive-o-Blog, (reminiscent as ‘filet-o-fish’).

And who knows?...a day might come when it achieves ‘cult-status’ in the near future.

DRIVOBLOG® (URL http://drivoblog.blogspot.com/ ) contains my personal Travelogues, Pictureslides, Speed-Sheets, City Reviews, Experiences, Views and everything related to Road Travel in India and is not promoting any form of direct commercial interest whatsoever.

Somehow I connect closely with Rishikesh, may be this has something to do with my name smile . Crisp air, mystic chants and a divine power that lets you discover your true self while cleansing your battered soul…and of course those class-3 and 4 rapids that let you sweat away your stress and rejuvenate your body and mind.
