Amboli, the wettest place in Maharashtra, is still charming
Posted By thecouple
This beautiful hill station went unnoticed by tourists for a long time. So it still retains its charm! Rolling hills, gushing waterfalls, quiet roads - the wettest place in Maharashtra was part of our itinerary today.
Being a fan of MTDC, we drove straight to the Amboli MTDC resort for lunch. As a first-mover in many of the tourist places in Maharashtra, it’s properties mostly occupy the most beautiful locations. Decent accommodation and simple food are other two factors that attract us to MTDC.
Kavelsad point offers breathtaking views of the valley and numerous waterfalls feeding the river below. The Hiranyakeshi Uppam is where the Hiranyakeshi river springs from the mouth of a cave.
We didn’t have enough of Amboli. Ideally we would have pitched our tent and camped here so that we could take our favourite long walks and hikes.
