We are Garima and Sidhanshu Kale from the city of opportunity - Mumbai. We are together for 10 years now in our journey of life. We are both corporate lawyers. Our court was set in 1999 when we first met in our law college. Shortly after that we realized that we were actually on the same side. We are of opposite natures, she was the studious kinds and I was the kewler one in the college. She was the first bencher and I the talkative guy of the last bench. Cricket was my first love and she loved reading here course material. It was written all over the wall “OPPOSITES ATTRACT” and since then we have the best of both worlds (Refer our testimonial for each other on our respective orkut profiles). We have spent some exciting times together, be it college days, family functions, our wedding, honeymoon, in fact every moment that we are together. Of course we have had our share of fights as well, but curry would not have been so delicious if it was not spicy. Life in Mumbai can be tough at times and it exhausts you every now and then. We have successfully provided the support system to each other to over come every testing moment. Most of the weekdays are long as we put in lot of hours in office, but whenever we get a chance we zoom out of Mumbai in our "SID MACHINE". Speaking of which, SID MACHINE is our Mitsubishi Lancer car. It’s a black lean and mean machine. From childhood I had this dream of having a car which is one of a kind. My brother and I used to look at modified cars in awe. When I bought my SID MACHINE, it was a dream come true for me as this car had the best of engines available in market today and was driven by real Mitsubishi fans. In fact Garima and I were window shopping on Linking Road Bandra one day when a Mitsubishi vroomed past us and Garima said I want this car. It is this common likeness that we share on various things that makes us ideal for each other. Well I gave her keys to the car on our wedding day. After driving it for a year or so, my inner child remembered his dream of having a unique car. Garima was all in support for this, so we got it modified and this is how SID MACHINE was born (refer to our pictures). It sure is a head turner. We love travelling by road which gives us the freedom to choose our path and to spend time wherever we find a nice picturesque place. So that’s how we met. With the blessings of our parents and family and with the love which we have for each other, we wish to participate in and win this challenge.

We, Nilesh and Effie began as travel buddies to college on a bike and we graduated to driving together in a car… Did we forget to mention that we also graduated from college, got married to our respective spouses, one of us has an adorable baby and the best part is, that we continue to be buddies in touch! Youthful in our minds and hearts, we still pass off as college mates and can be often spotted in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, cos we reside there. Nilesh has a passion for bikes and cars, he began biking at an early age and still considers his bike to be his first love. We are cautious when on the wheels, Nilesh being the more experienced one. SM: Praveen, like any other man, is from the planet Mars (simply because there isn't a planet called 'Cars') and like few other men, is extremely chivalrous. I can already see him opening the Cedia door for me (A man apparently does that only if either the car or the lady is new - we have been together for seven years now ;) PJ: I obviously have to be the sensible one, so here's the not-so-brief intro. There i was, a mild Malayali boy studying Medicine when this wild Haryanvi kudi crashed into my life. Swati learned to drive in a Gypsy and it shows! 7 cars and 4 bikes (the RD 350 and the Thunderbird, et al) later, our combined odometer is racing towards 200000 kms. Between periodically disappearing on long drives and rides, the MBBS degrees gave us the opportunity to serve at some of the premier hospitals in South India. Our last stint was a voluntary one at a village near Pune and we're currently applying for our post-graduation.

I participated in10th HIMALAYAN CAR RALLY last year with my friends Dr Parvinder Singh and Dr. Pundir in CORSA 1.6 I attempted to get Diploma in Automobile Engineering, during my Undergraduate days, but Medical studies leave you with hardly any spare time. But by now I am aware of lot of technicalities, just besides sitting behind the steering. Besides all adventures I am qualified Yoga Teacher a Diploma holder from M S University. My wife and my classmate, Dr. Preeti Shah, she is a Gynaecologist, practising in Baroda since last 10 years. I work in the financial sector and Rohit works in a completely different line – media! We complement each other, I’m the planner, he’s the executor, I’m a little more reserved than he is, he’s a social butterfly, I need a plan, he’ll go with the flow.
