Our Introduction

You are looking at a couple who have been best friends and travel partners since 1995. As we share similar values, zest for life and love of the outdoors and each other, we decided to marry six years ago. Hashim is an adventure sports professional while I am a freelance writer in addition to being a full time mom to our two year old son. We are Mumbaikars. Hashim comes from a family of rally enthusiasts, is the car expert in our family and is very happy to behind the wheel for hours. He is also the proprietor of the company Wanderstruck – the adventure consultants to several popular reality shows on television – and is an expert at skiing, water-skiing, para-gliding, rock climbing, rappelling and other outdoor activities. Over the last 14 years (in what feels like another lifetime to me) I worked as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, a client service manager at Fountainhead - the promotions and events management firm and a part-time radio jockey with Times FM while pursuing a BA at St. Xavier’s College. Travel has been a big part of our lives. There have been skiing trips in India, snorkelling at Lakshadweep, trekking around the country, sightseeing around Rome and Paris, gambling in Las Vegas and more recently, road trips around India with our baby. The concept of the Great Driving Challenge is just too good for us to pass up – so here we are, baring our souls and hoping to make it on a dream drive of 3000 kms in a Mitsubishi Cedia.
