Our Travelogue

Mumbai is a lovely city to drive around in (at nights of course!). Swapnil proposed to me some five years back while we were riding on the bike to the Juhu beach! And since then the most meaningful conversations that we have had were carried out over our bike rides (it is crazy but true! :)) To begin with, the romance of a 40 km drive from Powai to Nariman point itself completely rubs in the passion of travel in us. Our parents being based in Pune gave us the opportunity to drive on the awesome Mumbai-Pune Expressway quite regularly. The weekends at Mumbai were well utilized to travel first along the lovely Konkan coastline and compelled us to bike to places like Harihareshwar, Bhandardara, Malshej Ghat etc. Also our deep passion to explore new places and our inability to stay at home over any holiday possible has made us take very regular holiday trips to places like Matheran, Ganpathipule, Kashid Beach, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Daman, Kelve Beach, Goa (twice in two years! Can u really blame us!) After having used all our weekends very well and completing travel to all possible places around Mumbai and Pune, we are currently exploring places far off. For our honeymoon, we traveled to explore the shaded waters and silver sands of a tropical Mauritius during January this year. And to continue our travel plans, we have an upcoming trip to Coorg, Munnar and Kodaikanal this monsoon. Beaches have excited us the most and we both become water babies the moment we see blue! However, we have enjoyed all seasons. Be the summers spent at Matheran where we could cool our heels or be it the monsoon at scenic Lonavala and Malshej we just can’t stay put! We are hopeful that this Driving Challenge will help us realize our passion to an even greater extent and help us do the North western India tour that we have been wanting to do since a long time now!
