Our Travel Plan
Taking the northern route from Mumbai to Ahmadabad, traversing through the vivid hues of Rajasthan, visiting the historic towns of Jhansi and Bhopal before completing the trip at Mumbai via Dhule and Nasik, would be our dream 3000 kms trip. Starting from Mumbai, our first days travel would cover 270 kms till Surat. The next day we would head to Ahmadabad covering a distance of 300 kms. The Western Ghats during monsoon brings about a nice challenge to take this route. 3rd Day would cover a distance of 250 kms from Ahmadabad to Udaipur. 275 kms of challenging drive stands ahead on the 4th day when we head for Jodhpur from Udaipur. We head to Jaipur on the 5th day covering a distance of 350 kms. On the 6th day we would head to Kota covering a distance of 250 kms. 7th day would take us to Jhansi by covering 330 kms. Bhopal awaits us on the 8th day while we cover a distance of 380 kms to get there. Dhule is our next stop on the 9th day and we would cover 450 kms to get there. The last leg would take us to Mumbai to complete the event covering a distance of 334 kms. By the end of it, we would have covered a distance of about 3180 kms in 10 days, covering 5 states, excluding the start and finish dates. We prefer this mode of travel over a round trip as it gives us better coverage and opportunity to cover more number of states and locations widely spread across.
