Hi, we are Abhimanyu Rana and Latika Chauhan. Abhimanyu is an IITian with a penchant for automobiles and travel. The link is so strong that he gave up his professional career to start a resto-bar on the automobile theme. He also likes to travel a lot (prefers driving) and has covered over 50,000 kms in the past 1 year. Presently he is restoring a 1969 Impala and a 1968 Mini Cooper. He has also done the odd car show episode on TV. Latika has been bitten by the travel bug too. She has been a crew with Singapore Airlines to satiate her travel pags, and is now back home in Udaipur. Prior to that she has been a professional model and also figured in the first ever 'Get Gorgeous' TV show on Channel V. What keeps us together is a spirit of adventure and a love of the road. Our trips together include over 2000 Kms across Rajasthan onver a 6 day period and driving from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.

We are the best candidates because...

We are the best candidates because of 2 reasons. 1st, individually, we have a love for travel, and prefer to drive around instead of Jet it across and loose out on the journey. 2nd, together, we have travelled a lot. We tend to take nice pictures (find them on my facebook and orkut profiles), enjoy the local food and are in no hurry to get anywhere. Besides we have driven a Mitsubishi Cedia Sport (amongst the first ones sold, bright red) over 40,000 Km across the highways, most of it together.

Our Travel Plan

Considering the weather and what we have already covered, our plan is to cover Nothern India. The plan is to head towards the mountains. Intended Route: New Delhi, Jalandhar, Srinagar, Leh, Manali, Shimla, Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Khatima, New Delhi. The distance works out to about 3000 Kms, as per the challenge requirement. The weather will ensure that the roads are not snowed in and are in good motorable condition. Also, clear skies would lead to loads of spectacular photography, creating good memories of the trip.
