Deep Thoughts

The jury is holed up in a hotel in Chennai, immersed in deep thoughts. They will be out Monday morning. As of now they are pouring over the applications, scoring people on multiple criteria, and calling for logs of those who have registered disproportionately high volume of votes in a short period of time.

Good luck to the jury…

from this posts of the organizers, it almost looks like the votes really don’t make much of a difference, since it appears that you’re reviewing all applications.

does this mean that someone with a really great blog, but with hardly any votes, will be able to make it into the top 100?

while i guess it is right for the organizers, that they need someone who can blog well rather than able to get votes, it would not seem right that it should have such a small level of importance (as emerging from the posts on the blog) in the selection of the top 100, (keeping in mind the amount of work participants who have gotten votes have done to publicize the competition.)

Please read the post titled “More Tips”. It clearly explains all the parameters (not just blogging skills), the jury is taking into consideration, including ability to garner votes.

The quantity of Votes and Testimonials would matter to an extent but beyond that Quality of the Contents of the Testimonials would be given importance. I suppose so.The cutting edge would be the strength of the Profile and Visual justification of the Roads traveled and Places visited.

Its getting very serious here. let me tell something in lighter vein ! with apologies to all ! Its about my research on Testimonials ! -
Number of one liner Testimonials are important or the quality and content of the Testimonial is important ? Going through numerous Testimonials I gather couple of points -

1. Most of the Couples are made for each other with so much of bliss and harmony !
2. Every Couple is out of the house exploring on Indian roads ! where are our Indian Counter-parts of -Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Vasco da Gama, Ferdinand Magellan ?
3. Many of them would put Legendary Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa or our own Narain Karthikeyan to Shame ! With their Speedometer !
4. Some have very high Energy level that - it has to be tapped and converted for Domestic Utility !... Read More
5. Some were born only for the steering wheels ! ..Is Mitsubishi listening ? They can be employed as Test Drivers !
6. Virtually everyone is out on roads leaving essential domestic rituals & No complaint comes from kid’s school for absence or incomplete home-work !
7. Finally, everyone deserves to be Number One !!

Smile please !

TGDC jury has some work to do! Going through 1000+ profile in 2 days is quite a task and I guess this jury will have to work overtime these 2 days.

Some questions for TGDC team,
1. When you are going to put the names of top 100 contestants tomorrow,  will you be putting their points also that they scored on various criteria?
2. How are you planning to inform the top 100 contestants, will the list be put on this site?
3. The profiles that don’t get selected, will they be told where they missed or their scores?

Cheers to all the contestants!
