Two amazing couples caught my attention today morning, as I read their profile.

The lilt in Chandrani’s style of writing got me hooked:
“Manali Leh Highway, 15th June 2007, after having driven for about 12hrs we stopped our Scorpio, mesmerised by a surreal world orchrested by the wind, the temperature a few degrees below zero…....... Barlachala at 16000 feet one of the Loftiest, trickiest and most scenic mountain passes in the world”

and so did the candor in Harjit’s pitch:
“We are the best candidates because…By the grace of almighty god, I believe that we are the Eldest couple but Youngest from heart and Fitness.I believe that we are the most experienced couple in this challenge”

Then, I noticed that the grand total votes garnered by these gorgeous couples (till the time of this post) was 3 (three); I stood and cheered silently.

I enjoyed reading their application (though they say they are still working on it) and I hope you do too. You will find them here at Chandrani and here at Harjit.

My wife Pragya and myself are not computer savvy so we dont kno how to complete our application.. so pl help us to complete. and let us kno what we hav to do…

Hi Prabhuraj,

To get kickstarted on the app, you need to a few starting points:

1. Login and fill up your application by clicking on EDIT APPLICATION in your login page.
2. Ensure you finish the ENTIRE application.
3. Upload photos to Flickr (http://www.flickr.com) after creating an ID (your yahoo ID will do).
4. Copy your flickr home-page link to the “SLIDESHOW” box on your EDIT APPLICATION page. You’ll have a slideshow of your photos.
5. Chart out your travel plan on Google Maps. A very useful video is present in this blog itself.
6. Get active on Twitter, Orkut, FB, Flickr.
7. Join the Great Driving Challenge page on Facebook and on Orkut.

Ask your friends to vote. There are a LOT of useful tips in this blog, try to use most of them.

Hi Sandip,

Thanks. We are touched and whether or not we qualify, this blog post will be treasured. We have 67 votes, although i will say 66, since one vote is my own from my yahoo id and i have no clue how that happened, since i did not vote or acknowledge any confirmation. However I have reported the matter to support so hopefully it will be taken care of, as i do not think it is nice to see your own name on the list of those who have voted for you. Anyway I hope to get some more votes tomorrow…God willing…and let us hope for the best… Thanks for giving us this platform to express ourselves…great job…keep it up…
