I suffer from ‘Anti-Motion Sickness’ which is a situation where one gets restless and lethargic, if not on the move (whether by Rail, Air or Road). It is this instinct that makes me do DRIVOBLOG®. I get a high when I suddenly realize that I have transported myself over great distances without feeling the sense of time. A travelling experience cannot happen without ‘physical relocation’, else we might just be happy seeing picture galleries and not travel at all. Still we only get to see the place we travel to and not physically feel it. But then what is it that ‘feels’ the relocation? Is it the different sights and of different people? Maybe, but then we see them in photographs and videos too. Or is it the 360 Degree vision? Maybe. But I strongly feel, it is actually the sub-conscious mind. As we relocate, the air quality, smell of the air, humidity levels, aroma, ambient noises, infrasound, and food tastes changes and these things convince the sub-conscious mind into believing that ‘relocation’ has happened. Otherwise how does one get an urge to leave the comforts of the bedroom and TV on a weekend and hit the highways. On road trips you are not visiting one destination, but every town, every landscape along the highway is a destination. Now that is an uncountable number of destinations, isn’t it?

About us
Wedlocked since 3 long years, Mrs. Basu is an Ex-Kingfisher and I am a 'Dreamer' - of a DEVELOPED INDIA.
Our reasons to travel by road range from pure utilitarian to holidaying to just avoid carting around luggage on platforms and terminals. I suffer from 'Anti-Motion Sickness' which is a situation where one gets restless and lethargic, if not on the move (whether by Rail, Air, or Road).
