Spartan Hedgehogs!! Wondering where that came from?, hmmmm, well let me take you through our trend of thought.

 

We had two options:

 

>> Either to pick a name that is kinda generic but which will stick in everyone’s mind, (something that’s easy to remember, something that fits in with our personalities) and such, and we had “Team NFS” and “Sparq” and all that boring stuff in the kitty.

 

>> Option number two would be to sit down and do free associations. What are we about—what are we like—what kinda describes our “eclectic” style?

 

Eureka!!

 

 

S-P-A-R-T-A-N-S!!!!!!!!!!

 

Why? They were small in number —-> the both of us are bacchas!!. They fought against dire odds—-> We entered the challenge last minute and already in the Top 12. They are the embodiment of all that is cool and fascinating—-> We like to think we are!. They were fighters, never-said-die, never gave up, gave everything they had, had morals and beliefs and stuck by them—-> We believe that’s what we’re doing too. They also had gorgeous curly hair - enter Zinaida Mascarenhas (see picture below for proof). Spartans were warriors at first glance…. but also kind, loving people—-> Do we really need to tell you how affectionate we are?!.

 

H-E-D-G-E-H-O-G-S!!!!!!

LOL. Well when I was in Europe last month, we must have stopped the car atleast 8 times to pluck hedgehogs off the road and roll them into the bushes, in the hope that they don’t come back onto the road. That’s what was on my mind at the time. These babies are Nocturnal, and that’s so totally us too!!!! And so it stuck! The albino hedgehog came in as an after thought—its a rather special, rare creature, “special” being the operative word there!! *wink wink*

 

 

As for our motto, we decided to go with the KISS principle (google it!). We had two ideas (again).—> to have an ideal behind our motto, or have something with pizazz. We earlier thought of “Capture memories, leave only footprints”, but somehow it just didn’t have that BANG, and that isn’t really us. Sure…. we’d like to promote responsibility and such, but it didn’t fit into this context. “Chew up the road” needs no explanation, being the young spirited energetic punks that we are. What else could we have said?

 

 

So there you have it… The SPARTAN HEDGEHOGS who are gonna “CHEW UP THE ROAD”
