Wonderful idea to unveil the top 100… and guess what we (Prabha and I) are in the middle of the word ALL… very apt….TGDC has been ALL that we have been doing for the last 2 weeks… ... and right next to us (in the begining of ALL) are our good friends Navin and Khushi…. really great! THANK YOU TGDC! You guys are just so good at the game of revealing We made it to the top 100. Thank you ALL! We would like to thank TGDC team for such an interesting concept and the contest and also all those who voted for us. Regards, Radhika & Narayan hi team, Having made the first 100 what are the next steps? We got through Round 1, and my hands are still shaking with the adrenaline rush!! It was like sitting for an exam and biting your nails waiting for the results to be out! We’ve given it our very best shot, and are over the moon to have gotten through Round 1!! Bouquets all the way ( but of course! ). Thank you jury, thank you TGDC, thank you everyone who’s voted for us, and now wish us even more luck!! We are not the lucky ones!!! I don’t know what to say… I have been following this contest since Day 1… I have seen new people joining in, and I have following almost every couple who joined… and this is very disheartning to see that the couples who couldn’t use proper English, have gone through… and we couldn’t…!!! (I know, only team TGDC will say is, it’s the jury who took the decision) Anyways, We, now have just 2 request, if TGDC can fulfill them…??? I would like to know all the 9 parameters of the jury’s decision, so that I know where and what did we fall short of!!! and Also, i would like to get all the e-mail ids, so that I can those 277 people who showed their confidence in us. Dear Sirs, I was quite shocked to see people who wrote things like this ( Copied and pasted below) are amongst Top 100.. I have nothing to say.. I think people reading this blog and the jury all understand wht I am trying to tell. Great WORK.. (Pun Intendeded) Our Travel Plan If we had been informed before, that writing such langauage and not submitting travel plan at all, with the only criteria being a so called celebrity status, We would have taken that route. Thanks a ton! Great idea - the element of surprise was ossum guys!! :D As time passed by and pictures didn’t appear, anxiety got the better of me and I did a control-F to search in HMTL of the page! Saw our name and then went and peacefully clicked the alphabet! Great stuff and looking forward eagerly to top-25 rankings. Dear TGDC Team, Just slightly dissappointed because there are couples with low votes lower than 150, yet not a very impressive application, including the exposure and quality of language used, who have gone through. I agree with vinny and bushra, that somehwere it has left us dissappointed and of course you will say that the jury’s decision is final. But having put in a very sincere effort and knowing that we are good, having even received an acknowledgement to this effect on your blog, we were hopeful. I am a travel writer and my verdict ... a few of the couples featured in your top 100 has left a big question mark… Anyway, never mind… Chandrani… ELENA KASNATSCHEEWA and YULIYA GLUSHCHENKO???? maybe its a case of sour grapes, but am blaming the number of votes we got and going for the drive anyway! You guys really like playing with the tension around here, right? :D Great to know we’ve made it. I found it so good, that I stopped my job-hunting(I am out of job right now) and focussed on this, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The idea of revealing the top 100 couples this way, is fantastic, hats off to the person who came up with it. Looking forward for the next stages… Anand & Nischala First came the agonizing twitter update saying how much more difficult would you guys make it! then the clicketty click and finally a subdued under the breath WOW! That was the first reaction and then I called up the wife to tell her. The IM status updates followed by tweets/twits…. facebook update, sms to friends who voted thanking them….. looking for Abhijit and Vashishta and many other couples whom we’d liked…. seems all were there Guys I have to hand it to you it seems like you guys managed it pretty well so far. I mean I had 173 votes and a very small number of testimonials but still made it through! Am thinking it was because of my writing style and the wifes’ eye for a picture.. as well as her attention to detail (she was the one who did the detailed study of the rules and steered me away from Leh Ladakh coz it’d have been unattainable in the 300-350km per day limit)..... whatever it was I hope we will find it out and also that that specific “positive facet of our combined personalities” will continue to propel us further ahead in the competition…. for now top100 is good, top100 is healthy…. heck top100 is awesome :D Oh and we’re the “A” in Cedia on the results page…. now if only that would stand to mean that we’re already in the Cedia (with 4 others) -imtiaz |

the whole team at TGDC (ur constant words of encouragement reg the selection process in the blog which was our only connection with u during the whole time), the rest of the contestants (each and every one of u count ‘cuz v r in the 100 out of 5000+!), and participants who kept writing in the blog, voicing their opinions which did count when i was low… A BIG THANX! © 2009.
