Amit & I have had a spiel, contemplating the motto, name & content of this space. We’ve talked about, travel, drive & pictures.... roads, people, exotic locales, lifestyle ….PHEW! What on earth not. Something, that remained constant in the frame of reference with all these was a country. A nation which was also chosen by the promoters for their name (Hindustan Motors after all). Perhaps they knew well how vivid India is, in its temperament, culture, ethnicity & panorama. Almost like a kaleidoscope- a melting pot of cultures. No matter where a Cedia is parked here, its beauty will only be enhanced. We imaged it at all the places & yes we did conclude : "we have the Cedia & the backdrop, let’s paint the picture".

Through the eyes of a traveler, a blogger & a photographer, trying to put the bits and pieces of this wonderland together: it felt like looking through a kaleidoscope & that's where the thought [kaleido-INDIA] came from.

"As Radha's bangles jingle in a smoky kitchen of Rajashthan, Farid's kite soars high in the clear skies of Patan. A kolam proudly adorns the entrance of Mr.Iyer's veranda in Chennai & a milkman thoughtlessly hums a Mohd. Rafi song in the narrow lanes of Bhopal. The unclad sadhu takes a holy dip at Kashi ghats, while Sush & Ragz relish the Delhi chat. Satinder is tying his turban in Pinjore & Laakhan is twisting his moustache in Chittod. Mr. Khan is sipping kahwa in the scenic Gulmarg & Mr.Bose gobbles a rôshogolla in Bengal. All this is happening, while Tenzin in Shillong is tuning his guitar."

Each morning in India is a celebration. We have a hundred festivals, yet our most celebrated is "Life". Expressed in vivid routines, we blend in a kaleidoscope of cultures. "Diverse in many ways we know....United in many more we don't". This is a journey of collecting the hues of variance, of oneness, our discovery of a spirited India.
