The greatest reward of traveling…........ is encountering different cultures and people we meet on the way. Luckily, Roohshad and me are totally into people, and nothing thrills us more than to interact and get to know about them more (Roohshad usually does all the talking…..  but he manages to get the most interesting stories out of people….. so I don’t really mind. Hee hee)

 

Through our travels around the world(especially India), I’ve observed that the most humble people I’ve come across…are the people who have nothing to boast about, the people who haven’t joined the rat race….......... and don’t intend to, the people who are happy with their tiny houses and blue-collar jobs.  They could be women cooking on the street, little children playing in the mud, or men doing hard labour work at construction sites….. but the one thing they don’t leave home without….is their smile. These are the people whose smiles are genuine and infectious. You see contentment in them. They tell you a story. I’ve been hijacked several times by their smiles. The warmth of their smiles….brings out the twinkle in their eyes. So genuine… it touches your heart!

 

 

Roohshad’s camera captures these smiles so well…. it brings sunshine into my life! It makes me realize the power of a smile. We’re so caught up with society and egos that are a part of it, that we’ve forgotten what it’s like to share a genuine smile.

 

 

These are the people who have taught me the greatest lesson in life…........Everyone smiles in the same language!
