Sonali(the wife) and I were college friends who married 5years back and Ria came along in July 2008. SG is an IT projects manager at PCS and I am a freelancer in the Linux server management arena, Ria practices walking around right now and chewing without teeth as well :) In the eleven months since Ria was born we've driven around 25000km. The farthest that the kid has been to in our trusty steed is Jaipur from Mumbai in december 2008. That was a 3000km run (well 1200km each side plus locally we went around to chittorgarh, ajmer, udaipur... pics are here http://tr.im/pu1e). This challenge would give us the time and peace to plan life ahead as we are working towards starting a new IT services company this year. Team work is essential, goes without saying and i'm what i'm because of the support people have shown around me all through my life. Was good, well great in cricket which made my dreams of travelling across India and world come true......naa..just kidding...however i played my best cricket and was part of the "national" team ( that was our local club name in Uttam Nagar). I played the highest level in school cricket participating till District ( Read Distt. Park) level. There are many parks to be honest where i stay u know....... 2nd Gear My Partner in crime ooops in this adventure happens to be my dear wife whom i share not only the wedding rings but also our common likeliness towards adventure, wildlife, photography. In fact she is more adventurous than i'm, tell her to do the most ridiculous of stunts, be it bunjee, rock climbing, water related anything, she is the first one to jump the queue. 3rd Gear I'm really scared of water and that is the reason why we have chosen the path in this journey which wil cover most of the watery place in the Indian Ocean Belt. We were married in 2007, since then it has been a smooth ride, unlike the bumpy roads which we have taken in the past for our journeys. My wife pursues her dream of becoming a Scientist ( which she will, one day) even though it requires a lot of dedication and persevarance ( She has plenty). [We like to accelerate a lot in the 3rd Gear, may be not aware about the fuel prices i think] 4th Gear We are from a typical South Indian-Tamil-Iyer community which makes our roots,values deep along with spirituality. Top Gear to the victory lap Music unites and binds us together in different ways. Its an imperative part of our lives whether we are driving together to some place or we are wandering in our house doing household chores. The important fact is that we both love and are passionate about this interest of ours in a different way. She loves Carnactic Classical music whereas i'm deep down delved into Heavy metal, together we make a combination which is even lethal to consider. Imagine a voilin,mridangam, ganjeera with Lead guitar, drums and KORN( A Metal Band) MICROPHONE....how would that sound.!!!!! We are very cheerful by nature, even in the worst of the situation, which makes our team balanced, focussed and yet determined to succeed at any given level. Abhijit - a travel-holic, a gizmo's freak, slightly crazy and passionate about everything he does. Vashita - a die hard romantic, totally unpredictable and wildly adventurous!! Never, in life, have we conformed to any rules. Both of us are ex-Army Officers and met during our 11 month training in Officer's Training Academy, Chennai. When we met for the first time, sparks did fly....but of the wrong kind. Being highly individualistic and competitive, we saw each other as potential threats......and thus were constantly trying to outdo each other. Clash of the Titans!!! But The Titans soon realized that the attraction was too strong to ignore anymore!!! It started one day at a party...when we danced together. We realized that we could read each others moves and could sway in total harmony!! We only stopped when we heard the deafening sound of cheering and clapping and saw that everyone on the dance floor was just standing and clapping for us.......even the spotlight had been focussed on us by the DJ!!! And this has been a regular feature for the last 7 years...we have been nicknamed 'show stoppers' by our friends!! We served the country for 8 years ..... and needless to say...they were the Best years of our Lives!! The challenges, the thrill , the satisfaction, the courage, the pride that flowed in our blood stream once we donned THAT green uniform, can never be paralleled. Those 8 years made us realize our inner most strengths...and prepared us to face any challenges....head on!!! As a team we are formidable. What makes us stand apart is our 'buddy system'. We know each others strengths and weaknesses, and thus we work without stepping on each others toes. As a couple...we are like any other couple in love. We laugh, we fight, we make up,we party and we go crazy!! What makes this partnership even stronger is our love for adventure. I dont have to worry about the fact that Vashita will not be able to take the heat, or the cold or the pulsating thrill of any activity. Lipika is an avid navigator, a keen photographer and always keeps me under speed limits, while I always love to be on the wheel, non-stop. She constantly tries to find excuses to switch roles with me and be on the driver’s seat. A foodie that she is, she likes to make notes of local cuisine on the route. She has keen interest in the cultures, local attractions and collecting souvenirs (who could ever stop a woman from shopping). I, on the other hand enjoy my mean machine and take pleasure in appreciating the natural beauty. We have done several endeavors including scaling the highest motorable roads to the barren sand dunes and some of the best beaches in the world. Recounting our tales to friends and their reactions gives us a new high... makes us feel on top of the world & re-live those moments.. wishing to do it all over again :)

SM: Praveen, like any other man, is from the planet Mars (simply because there isn't a planet called 'Cars') and like few other men, is extremely chivalrous. I can already see him opening the Cedia door for me (A man apparently does that only if either the car or the lady is new - we have been together for seven years now ;) PJ: I obviously have to be the sensible one, so here's the not-so-brief intro. There i was, a mild Malayali boy studying Medicine when this wild Haryanvi kudi crashed into my life. Swati learned to drive in a Gypsy and it shows! 7 cars and 4 bikes (the RD 350 and the Thunderbird, et al) later, our combined odometer is racing towards 200000 kms. Between periodically disappearing on long drives and rides, the MBBS degrees gave us the opportunity to serve at some of the premier hospitals in South India. Our last stint was a voluntary one at a village near Pune and we're currently applying for our post-graduation.

We collided into each other 4 yrs back and that’s when we decided to travel through the joys and sorrows of life together. He works with a MNC as Manager Operations and I am Psychologist, alongside I regularly contribute my articles and quotes to newspapers on topics related to metaphysics and relationships. About us, we are poles apart, with respect to anything and everything, be it habits, strengths, weaknesses, Personality traits, taste buds etc. and indeed this is the essence of our relationship, as we complete each other. Well, but wait …it’s just this one thing common between us and needless to say our all time favorite activity i.e. Travelling. Talk about an adhoc drive till Lonavala at 2am to refurbish our state of insomnia or a planned Goa road trip to rejuvenate ourselves with Rawa fried fish, sand, water and suntan !! Driving is Sangharsh’s passion giving him an adrenaline rush but a hard time for me to get on the steering wheel during our non stop Pune - Goa drives. The roads and directions are always on the side of the gifted navigators like us  hence together we enjoy the rain forests, mountain terrains, sand, soil, dust & rough roads. Okie… we are confident about our skills to overcome this ‘Great Driving Challenge’ but right now we need your love and votes to help us sail through the next phase :o) Thanks Seema & Sangharsh
